I want to learn how to use Illustrator since most of my graphical knowledge is for photoshop and flash. Since Illustrator is a great vector program I'd like to learn how to make them. I've searched all over the internet for tutorials on how to use the program and to make vector art but I havnt been able to find any good tutorials. Can someone point me in the direction of some good tutorials on how to do vector art? Or if someone wants to write a tutorial on it.........^_^ Thanks ~Zac |

you're probably going to have to explain what you mean by "advanced stuff" before you get any answers, or atleast ask specific questions. "how to make vector art"? read the illustrator manual, do the tutorials that came with the program (i know CS has them, not sure about the others). i don't know what more you need other than creativity and practice using the basic tools. |

My thoughts exactly... just draw what you want to draw. You can't expect there to be tutorial for your every specific drawing needs. Just experiment and master the tools, with doing the tutorials that come with the program... or some online ones. Then you can draw anything you want. |

Okay, here are some more comments with links actually. I've been looking for Illustrator tutorials for quite sometime but haven't found too many. But I really like this work. Too bad I can't read this language, but you might find something here. This is what the guy does: http://homepage3.nifty.com/highside/pict/face.jpg This is his gallery: http://homepage3.nifty.com/highside/gallery.htm All this work was done by hand, straight from scratch, and while there aren't any tutorials, you might want to email the guy and ask for help. You can also view the "laboratory" and/or go to google and have the page translated to your language of preference. Now when you've viewed the work here all created in Illustrator, you've got to check out this guy's work: http://www.khulsey.com/main_royalcarib.html And then check out his main page here: http://www.khulsey.com/ And let me re-state, you might want to email them for help or direction to tutorials, but these guys are pretty good at what they do and are super advanced in Illustrator. Hope this helps a bit. Cheers! |
