I'm sending a PS document to a printer and to avoid the problem of the printer possibly not having a specific font I'd like to turn all my text layers into shape layers.

Is there a way to turn all text layers in a single document into shape layers easily? I know I can do it individually layer by layer but that just seems too tedious.

I do not want to rastorize the text, just turn it into vector shapes.

Use a script...?
If you can't script, I can make one for you.

Outpatient...

You may have to register, if you haven't already, to view this little relevant item I wrote in the Adobe Forum Photoshop Lounge Resource Respository that I manage:
Multiple Text Layers---»One Custom Shape..

Thanks for that Utopian23, but ya know, that's exactly what I did (except I didn't need to make them a custom shape). The thing was I was hoping not to have to do that for each layer of my 27 different text layers. hehe. Oh well.

Oh and thanks for the offer Galaphile, but I've already done it manually. It wasn't too bad. ;)

Well, Outpatient...If I have to create that much text, I'll do it in Illustrator, or for even better control, InDesign.

But...not everybody has the luxury of owning all three of those applications.

Good point, but I didn't really intend on doing so much text. You know how sometimes a project just takes on a life of it's own, or maybe a client chooses to shift gears mid-way through the project after you've already completed 85% of the artwork for the orginal idea? It was one of those things. ;)

That's when you start to learn creative, hidden billing, especially if they're a real pain-in-the-butt, pushing for a dang-near-impossible deadline.
