My filter options dont work anymore.....

hi

i just got photoshop CS and at the beggining all the filter options workedbut now they dont anymore when i want to make some wind i cant because the button is like gray(cant press it)...... :confused:

plzzz help :confused:

Is your image in 8bits/channel, RGB?

it was RGB 16 bits

its about the effect styles found in Filter --> Render---> Lightnng Effects. for some reason i cant use the styles anymore
