I want to make a site, with a navbar type thing going accross the top ex: 0======= the "====" is the rectangle type shape coming outward, with links on it...and the circle "0" is my little logo type thing. how can i put that onto a page (as an .html so that the links work) with out frames...or more so how do i even just PUT it on the page along with the rest of the html of that page? little confusing, yes? ok: ex:: 0======= <-- links bar (as shown above) -------------------------\\ page here _________________// how is this done? and any ideas how to make the page more "grpahically inclined" so it doesn't look ponderous? thanx. |

Not knowing your background in webdesign, or knowledge of any programs. I would suggest (kinda expensive, but well worth it if your gonna be doing this regularly), get Photshop 6, it comes with Image ready 3. If you have it your ready to start. Photoshop for graphics, and Imageready to slice the graphic into linkable sections, and will make the HTML for you. It will take time, but quality always does. This is the best web tool there is. I would go ahead a try it and get aqainted with slicing up graphics, and making the HTML from ImageReady. After you have a grasp on how to do it, you can decide how you will want to construct your pages. The disadvantage of full page graphics are, of course, the file size. I think you said you wanted to do a nav bar at the top of your page. In photoshop make a graphic as tall as you want and as wide, then add the table w/ graphics to your page. I know a little vague, but theres a million ways to do the same thing and every project is different. Rogue |
