saving history palette?

Is there any way I can save the history palette when saving a file? I would like to do a step-by-step demo for someone, and while I always add a new layer for all color/contrast etc. changes, it doesn't work for the filters. Is there a way to do this?

If your using CS, turn on 'Log History' in the Edit/Preferences section.
