I was wondering what would be the best way to create dents. What I want to do is put dents on a car body panel. Any ideas?

Hmm. First thing I'd probably try is a very careful use of the Liquify filter. Specifically, within the Liquify filter, I'd use the Pucker Tool. That and then some adjustments for highlights/light reflections on and around the dents should work ok. |

Actually I just gave that a shot and it's probably not going to be so straightforward. Are you talking simple, smallish dents? Something like this?: http://0ut.home.comcast.net/lambodent.jpg |
:D Hammers work fine for me :D
 I don't remember there being a hammer tool on Photoshop though. No, more battered, but thanks though Outty, I got it to work for me. |
