I need help with Pantone Matching System...I know that I am to click on the color palette, (which brings up the "color picker"), then I click on Custom, which brings up Custom Colors.....
this is where I get lost, I don't know what to do next to find the correct PMS color.

If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it so much! I just recently got a job at an advertising company, and it crucial that I know this.
I am fairly new to Photoshop, so if you could please keep the terminology simple.
Thanks so much!

You ask your employers. They should tell you the code of which pantone color they want you to use.

It sounds like you need colour process books, a little pricey to buy unless you do regular print work, but any reputable printer should be able to tell you the pantone equivalent.

Here are the links in case you need them:

Here's what I would own if I had money to spare (just my fantasy, ignore me)

It's not necessary but I want one

I did a search for Pantone color list/reference guide and came up empty.
Pretty much the same result as the Hermit, you have to buy them or software that creates them.

Yup... Like a year ago there was this one website that offered a list of the pantone matching system, but it got shut down. Pantone send them a letter threatening with legal action... oh, too bad!
