Hey guys, I have created an image in Photoshop that I want to use as my website front end, but I have a few questions: 1. How do I go about putting the hyperlinks into my navigation menu? 2. I want to use the blank space I have left as a frame, what would be the best way to do this? I was thinking of creating the layout of frames in dreamweaver then slicing and inserting the slices into the individual frames? then filling the centre frame the same colour as the front end so it belnds in. -Chris |

Designate those areas that you mention with slices. Hit F1 to consult the online help to help you along with the nik naks of slicing. When you have the slices in place for your menu items, use the Slice Palette to enter the appropraite url/link information. For some visual help http://www.heathrowe.com/tuts/slices.asp (Slicing) http://www.heathrowe.com/tuts/rollovers.asp (Menu Rollovers) http://www.heathrowe.com/tuts/remoterollovers.asp (Rmote Rollovers) Hope that helps cheers heathrowe |

Thanks, basically I have created what you see here http://upload.richfool.com/uploaded/siteconst.jpg this is my first attempt at site design in photoshop so maybe its not the best but hey its a learning curve! :p How would I go about adding a menu rollover in the "navigation" area I have made, do I have to create the rollover effect first and then add it to the image as a new layer and then slice the individual rollover buttons? -Chris |
