Before I describe this problem I do want to assure you I did poke around the forum and FAQ beforehand. My problem is that I open a new creation(RGB or Bitmap) and create a text layer. When I do this I find that the cursor is EXTREMELY tiny. The text isnt even readable on size 72. I first noticed the problem yesterday when I was trying to create a new sig with an edited image I previously created. I've never had this problem before but I am still pretty new to this. The confusing part is that if I open up an image I edited not very long ago, the text layer is fine. If I open up an image I never text layered before and create one, the layer has the text extremely small once again. I'm pretty sure I hit a setting somewhere yet I have no idea what or where it is, much less how to fix it. I'm using Photoshop 6.0 with the newest update(6.0.1) installed, but the problem occured before the update was applied. Any help with this problem is GREATLY appreciated as its holding me up from finishing my sig. :( If any details are needed to help with this please ask here and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. Thanks in advance Stimpleton |

Make sure you're working at 72ppi. Go to Image->Image Size and to the right of the Resolution box, make sure it's set to 72. Take note of either the width or height beforehand because by changing the res. it will also reduce the physical dimensions proportionally.

thanks for that, as it turned out my dpi was like 2.5 for some reason. I switched it to 72 and it made the image HUGE. So I just resized the image and now life is good again. :D Thanks for the fast and, most importantly, accurate response. Bye all, and keep "shopping" |
