Tried to install PS 7.0 on my spanking new computer with XP Pro, and was asked to furnish proof of a prior version, I couldn't. I went from 3.1 on an old Gateway to 4.0 on a previous Dell and upgraded to 7.0. needless to say 3.1 is toast, and I can't install 4.0 without it. 7.0 won't install without a prior version Is there any way to work around it or am I toast, too?

My apologies for posting a question that could have been answered by reading the instructions-correctly. When I retrieved my cd with Photoshop 4.0 on it and read the instructions on the 7.0 version, all I had to do was mount the 4.0 cd, let the install wizard check it out, and remount the 7.0 cd. Then the installation went in by itself, as is usual with good software. Thank you for trying to help. |
