I do have a web photo gallery where images are stored in 1024x768 and thumbnails in 120x90 pixel dimensions. On my desktop computer I've the following folder structure: [ddmmyyyy] |-[2048x1536] |-[1024x768] |-[thumbnails] Folder 2048x1536 contains the original source images acquired from digital camera. Within this folder I play batch action called 2048x1536 that perfoms the following tasks:

I play this action > Automate > Batch and set destination Save and Close.
Within folder 2048x1536 I play also batch action called 1024x768 that performs the following tasks:

I play this action > Automate > Batch and set destination Folder 1024x768.
Finally within folder 1024x768 I play batch action called 1024x768->thumbnails that performs the following tasks:

I play this action > Automate > Batch and set destination Folder thumbnails.
I would like combine these three steps together and save images under folders 1024x768 and thumbnails using file format image + 2-digit serial + extension (e.g. image01.jpg). Which would be the best way to do that? |

What is the part you've got trouple with? The renaming, the automatization of the three tasks together?
What is the part you've got trouple with? The renaming, the automatization of the three tasks together?
Mainly automatization of the three tasks together. I'm not sure how to resize and save original (2048x1536) image within the same action (or droplet) into two other pixel dimensions (1024x768 and 120x90). Is it possible to use relative paths instead of physical as I would like to save images of specific date under it's unique folder (like 29072004 > 2048x1536 | 1024x768 | thumbnails)? |

If you already have the three actions then you should be able to simply combine them by dragging the steps from one action to another. Unfortunately these actions seem to have to be done separately because they are being saved to different folders. If you have Photoshop CS I think you can eliminate the first action all together, simply by going to the file browser and rotating all the pics that should be rotated there, then going up to Edit and choosing "Apply Rotation". I'm sorry I don't have more helpful information. Good Luck. |
