how to blend 2 pictures together nicely?

What do you mean blend two pictures together?
Like one over the other? Or to have it like a panermaic sence like they are doing in the pixel war?

I think I know what you mean, although I doubt your ever going to look at this post for some reason. But I think you mean to make something from one picture look like it is in another picture. You can use hue/saturation to adjust the settings, use blend modes, adjust the sharpness, and change the opacity. That should get a beginner photoshopper on his/her way. If you don't know what there terms mean, just look in photoshop help.
