I'm trying to give a word a smudge or some lines on on the left of it to make it seem like it's moving(but it's really not) I have no clue where to begin can anyone help me out? -peace |

Try going to the menu (Filter->Blur->Motion Blur) and playing around with that.

Are you trying to give it a normal to smudge look ? If so copy your txt as a new document hit ctrl+shift+e then make your texy smudge then you should goto adobe imageready and mess wit the configs have fun doodling

I'm stuck... any help would be greatly appreciated thanks :-) -peace |

are you sure your transparent pixels aren't locked ?

With your layer selected, go to the layers palette. Underneath the blending mode combobox, you should see 'Lock:' The transparent pixel lock is the icon right next to the work 'Lock:' (the square with grey/white checkers)
