How do i resize a picture without distortion |

Everytime i try to resize(smaller) a picture it becomes distorted. Is there a way to avoid distortion. Thanks |

It depends. You can't make a 1600x1200 image into a 400x300 image without it looking distorted. What size is the source image, and what size are you trying to scale it down to? |

Well it's possible, but it will lose quality and maybe look distorted. Like MCL said, did you change the way photoshop resizes it in the 'Image Size' dialogue? I know you can change the option there.

Constrain the transform box with the Shift button - or add dimensions into the context sensitive tool bar at the top, obviously any deviation from original proportions without constraining will result in distortion.
