Do you mean the actual plastic case of the iPod or the LCD screen?

Ok, I think I know what you're shooting for here, and I think I can help. Apple has been known for it's minimalist design elements for at least te [past decade. This is more evident in the iPods than ever. If I were looking to emulate that design on my computer, I'd be pretty appreciative of the fact that they've made it pretty simple for me. Using either the marquee tools, or the clipping path tools, make the necessary circles. I'd add a slight bevel to each. Now, facsimilate the various control icons. Play ( |> ) Fast Forward ( |>|> ) etcetera. You can do this with either the custom shapes tool, or even the lasso. Now, for what I think you're really trying to get at. A fair facsimilie of the display can be achieved under the guidelines laid out in any of the may LCD tutorials that are out there. Make sure to use an accurate text, such as 'MS Small Fonts" or try downloading a pixel font. You can find a good LCD Screen tutorial, as well as a number of other good one's here: www.TheWebMachine.com Hope this helps, and I hope you get the effect you were looking for. |

Sorry I wasn't specific. I want to make the white part in photoshop but thanks for that site. It will be helpful when I want to make an LCD screen. So does anyone know how to make the white part? (White part as in the actual ipod itself) |

why don't you find a picture of an iPod and use that? Or if you need to mod it, find a good pic and trace it. Then you can add bevel effects, etc.

Experiment with them. That its the best way, move around the sliders, change some numbers, see how it looks. Not everything you ever do in Photoshop will have defined numbers fro layer effects, like tutorials show you. I hope this kinda helps, maybe? |

Well...to me it seems like you want us to tell you exactly how to make an iPod. There is no defined layer style for making an iPod. Apple didn't design the iPod thinking, wow, we should make it look like an Inner Bevel, up, with 103% depth, etc. You will have to use trial and error. You can't learn if you don't try and fail.
