question about paths :S

Well I had a picture with several thigns and I wanted to select ONLY one thing in it. I selected the part I wanted with a path and my idea was to transform it to a selection, then select the picture layer and still with the selection made with the path copy it and put it in the new picture.

The problem seems to be that it copies the thing I want but ALL WHITE.


Any ideias of what I'm doing wrong?

Are you even in the right layer?

yeah, i click in the right layer and then copy but it still copies it all white :S
