Warping/fitting photos to shapes

Any easy way to fit an image to path? fFor example, if I have a horizontal photo that is 10"long by 3" high, how can I warp/stretch/arc this imagr around a CD label so that the entire image wraps around the label? ANy help[ is appreciated. Thanks,

I really don't think this method that I'm going to show you is the best, but here goes.

Copy and paste your 10 inch by 3 inch image into a 10x10 inch image. Go to Filter->Distort->Polar Coordinates. Choose Rectangular to Polar.

This warps it into a circle. I'm not sure if the distortion is too much for your liking or not.

There is no easy tool to do so in photoshop. what you describe is called Enveloppe Distort(ion). It is available in Illustrator, and works with bitmaps: http://www.creativemac.com/2002/10_oct/tutorials/illenvdist021029.htm
