Whats up, I created a shape and filled it with the color I wanted and added some filters to it. but I also wanted to make it look all dried out like if any of you have ever seen cracked dirt. I want the same look for my shape. I have a few pictures of cracked dirt and I just wanted some guidance on how I could somehow overlay that onto my shape.

This is easy: 1) Have the cracked dirt image open. 2) Go to Edit > Define Pattern (it's near the bottom) 3) Now go to your other image and right click on the layer with the shape (in the layers palette, usually at the bottom right hand side). 4) When the right click menu is open go to Blending Options then to Pattern Overlay in the pop up window (it's the second to last check box). Also you may have to click on the words as well to get all the pattern options. 5) Click on the square with the pattern in it and select your cracked dirt from the options. Ta da! I'm sure there are other ways of doing this, but this is the easiest. |
