A newbie question........ I will be using a scrolling image script to create a slide show on my home page similar to the image scroller at www.omelettechef.com. I am wondering how they faded their images around each border (in white). It is a nice affect, and I would like to do something similar.... Be specific as I am very new to photoshop... |

1Select the layer you want to fade 2Select-Load Selection 3Select-Modify-Contract (16 pix) OK/ 4Select-Feather (2-16pix,depends how much fade you want) 5Select-Inverse 6Edit-Fill-Use- White-Ok OR Delete ...by now you will figure it out , you can feather any Selection shapes you want ;) and I would use black fade for that picture. |

Instead of deleting the part of the image, use a layer mask.
