Have looked at some tutorials but have not found the right answer. I just got APH and I think I need a class....!! I scanned a black and white photo from a newspaper. Is it possible to enhance it so it looks like a (real photo)? Scanned at 300dpi, the finished product will fit on a business card. I resized it to fit the card and yes the image quality is better. But I want(wish) it to look like the original photo (rich features, glossy-etc.) Any help I would greatly appreciate. Thanks much................Daniel P.S ....(Will send u guys the image if need to analyze.) |

I come from a retouching background and I can tell you without any hesitation, don't bother. The moire problems will be too pronounced. If you really are intent on using a newspaper image scan it in at different angles (rotate it through 90 degrees a few times) and then amalgamate the combined images. Without looking at the image it may also benefit from de-screening actions or a particular blur. To post small images use the Go Advanced feature of the message repy and use the attach feature. |
