xxxI'm a beginner to photoshop. I currently have photoshop 6.0. And I'm currently interested in trying to make neat text effects. I know, it is wrong to try and copy a style, but I'm mearly interested in how this user got upon this effect with the spikes/background/and text itself. xxxSadly there is more. I was thinking they used the filter @ http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/techniques/pankmetal/pankmetal.php [The KTP 5 filter]. But I cannot get that to install on Photoshop 6.0. I am downloading 7.0 as we speak, but I think that filter is supposed to be 6.0 compatable right? Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

welcome to the board. First things first try to link your images rather than post them. Im almost sure you can get the metal effect you looking for through layer styles. Try not to rely on filters the outcome are always different everytime. Layer styles are quite amaizing. |

The text looks like it was done using Kai's Goo or similar plugin, but it is easily obtainable in a native solution.
