This comes up often. Illustrator is the way to go.
If you have Illustrator, sure. Otherwise you have to make due with what you have. |

Are you using Photoshop/ImageReady CS? If so do the following... 1. Open ImageReady 2. Create your box or line shape with any of the desirable shape tools - heck this works on Type too - 3. Go 'Window/Styles' to bring the Styles Palette to the foreground (if it isn't open already) 4. Go to the 'Styles Palette' menu command icon to the upper right (arrow), click and from the list load from the Styles Preset List called 'Dotted Stroke' (3rd one in the default list) 5. Back to your Styles Palette you should see 42 variants of Instant/premade presets. Pick and choose to your hearts content. 6. Optional - not happy with the Stroke Setting - simply edit it within the Blending Options box (same location as Bevel/Emboss...) 7. Optional - when content with the stroke, Ctrl + T on your shape layer and rotate to the angle desired. As for the Stroke Path option in Photoshop, you would have to set the 'Brush Tip Shape/Spacing' parameter to a high percentage. hope these help heathrowe |
