I made a logo on a transparent background. Now, the export wizard doesn't work well with drop shadows, and neither does save for web. Is there any way to make the background transparent well with a bigger drop shadow, or should I just see the background color to the color the page will be?

you can't have a semi-transparent drop shadow. You're best bet is to set the background color.

Yes you can. Use PNG-24. I am pretty sure this works, as I've gotten some nice anti-aliasing on any colored background using PNG-24 transparency.

PNG files allow for "real" drop shadows and other variable transparency effects, just not in Internet Explorer. It works on every other browser available in the past few years though. but you can fake it in IE with this: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/pngopacity/ |
