your right about the lightness channel. Too much noice removal, and you would have been better off with a gaussian blur on composite pic. I found that a radius setting of 1 pixal is more than enough, even with hi-rez photo. I'm hoping this weekend to test the deluxe de-noise with prints at photolab. More control could be nice for the action, but maybe this is threshold before detail is lost? Problem for me is that some of the students want noise taken out of photos where noise is normal/expected. eg photo at iso 1600. let me know how you go with the edges. There is alot of work in some of them, for such a simple, effective result. |
