Ok, so lets say youve got a stencil and when your spraying paint you're a bit messy and it goes over the edges of your stencil, which is rectangular. Does anyone understand? i just want to know how to get teh effect of overspray using photoshop. Any help? |

I'd make a selection for the shape of your stencil. Then invert it (CTRL+Shift+ I). then paint with the airbrush setting on, and maybe the "dissolve" blending mode.

If you use dissolve you might want to follow it up with some blur, cause dissolve generally produces very big square holes in your "paint".

Usually, I merge the dissolve one with another one,it produces a different effect.

Like a noise effect? I was trying to do something similar and I ended up using the smudge tool to blend out some "Overspray". |
