Hi again, I need to create a realistic looking blueprint/map for my history class. My group (basically abunch of sci-fi weirdos) decided that we were going to have our "culture" live on Ioa (spelling?) which is one of Jupiters moon's. I need to figure out how to make a realistic texture, or where I can get some, and I need to know if it would be fairly easy for me to find an aerial shot of a volcanoe and blend it into the texture. Anone have pointers on making a translucent dome for all of the little people to live in? This is going to be an aerial satelite-type shot. Anyone know how ot make/find a pic of a downed large spaceship that transported our culture to Io? Any information/links/cool ideas would be greatly appreciated. Anyways, this sounded like a better task then writing a report about our culture's history. :D BTW, this does sound really cluttered, I am just reaching for anything here. Thanks. BTE, I have PS 7, and Macromedia Studio MX. |

fawkes, could you post what you've done so far? it is your home work, after all, then we'll be able to give ou directions. Most techniques comes out of observation. Take a wine glass, put a light on it, and look how the reflection has a sharp edge or a soft one, then look at Photoshop tools, especially selections and quick mask, and you should start to see how to fake reflections... draw a dome, and place a good reflection on it, and you are started... For the spaceship, watch a sci fi movie, take a pencil, and let your imagination flow...that's creativity!!! |
