Hi there and welcome to the forum. To be able to do this you have to have some experience with the pen tool. If you haven't used it yet it will feel a bit wierd to use it at first. But after about 10 minutes of practise you will start to understand how it works. After a while it will be your favorite tool so don't give up even tough it feels a bit hard in the beginning. Okey what you need to do: Take the photo that you want to change, put it as layer one. Now make another layer above that one and stat tracing the image. There are two different ways of using the pen tool. When you have the pen tool selected you will see in your bar at the top that there is two different icons: A square and a square with the pentool inside. Be sure to have it as the square with the pen tool inside, this way it won't fil the selection that you are drawing. After you have done a part of the image, right click and choose "Make Selection..." and radious 0. Now you can make a selection and choose Edit - Stroke -> 1 px and choose the color. This way you will get the same style as the image you have there. Or Alt + Enter to fill the selcted area with a color. After this make a layer between the one that you just made and the one with the photo and then color the car. In this image it looks like they have just used one color and then used the Dodge tool and made the shadows with it. Hope this helps... |

If you want some quick results, there are a few filters that can do an alright job. Filter > Artistic > Cut Out (and the others in there) Τελεμαχυς |

You need to drag the pen tool when placing points to make curves. And you have to practice. Definitely x 10000 you're not gonna get the pen tool right away. |
