i just started thinking about this. i remember years back i saw this thing in the photoshop help (had something to do with photoshop) where you'd follow 4 or 5 steps to correctly adjust your monitor to the right brightness and such. i remember one of the steps was 2 grey boxes and you had to adjust till they blended together. i can't find that again and i've searched all through the help file. does anyone know what i'm talking about? i'm on a pc. |

Adobe Gamma is what your looking for. Just use the wizard instead of the gamma control panel. Its under your normal control panel (start >settings etc). Most of the info should be under "Calibrate" or something similar in the help. Unless we're talking many years back (version 5 & prior). I dont know bout those. Im on V6 |

Also, in V7 and higher, the Adobe Gamma is only available under the administrator account's Control Panel(at least on WinXP and maybe on Win2K) For more info about Adobe Gamma, look the color management guides in the features article section at http://computer-darkroom.com/home.htm |
