Hi all,

I didnt think this was a noob photoshop question so its in this forum

I've created my own defined patterns in photoshop CS and looking to transfer them across to another pc with photoshop on. I've looked in the presets at file size and changes but theres nothing.

Do any of you clever people know where my defined patterns are, my photoshop is installed in the default location.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Hi.
Well it doesn't save them as the names that you defined your pattern as...
So they might be somewhere...but they are pretty impossible to find.
My suggestion would be just to save the pattern as images and then save them again as patterns on the new computer.

hey mgibson, heres what ya need to do...

a) goto Edit/Preset Manger
b) From the Preset Type list, choose 'Patterms'
c) hightlight one or all (Shift Click) to activate the Save button.

that should prompt you to save the set to the default Photoshop Patterns folder, with a .pat file extension. Of course you don't have to save them there, pretty much anywhere on your hard drive is fine.

hope that helps
cheers
