I was out taking pics today and got one of a beautiful shelby cobra. It's a still shot and I'm planning to make it look like it's in motion(panning effect, with blurred background). I though it would look good with racing numbers and logos. Does anyone no how to put a flat logo on a curved or contoured surface(make it look like it was really painted on the car)? And would there be any copyright or trademark problem doing this? Any help or tuts on this would be appreciated! |

I usually use skewing and displacement maps, there are tuts everywhere on these subjects, try a google search. And good luck, I'd like to see the finished product. (there shouldn't be any trade mark problems unless you plan to sell the pic.) |

Wow! Thanx for all the help. I'll give them all a look and see what I can do. I started this thread before I had the photos developed (I'm saving for a D70, so I'm still using film to get high quality pics). Anyway, when I picked up the photos, I was a little disappointed with how much shadow there was being cast on the car. I might be able to work around it, but I'm still a novice at PS and I guess not much of a photographer either. I'll try to post the pics when I get them scanned and get a chance to play around with them some. THANX AGAIN everyone!!! |

Caddy be sure to scan the negs. Sometimes when the film is developed the photolab screws with your colors, you may get better shadows and highlights by scanning the negatives. (of course that is assuming you have a negative scanner, if you don't than I appoligise for this post).
