Ok, here's my dilemma. Whenever I click on the color palette to choose a different color, the cursor changes to the eyedropper tool, and every menu option greys out with the exception of the view menu, the window menu, and the "Photoshop Help" item in the Help menu. Whenever I try to select another tool, all i get is a beep, and nothing happens. On top of that all, I cannot exit Photoshop normally, Instead I have to do a ctrl+alt+delete and kill the process. I uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop, and it still does it. As far as I know, it just started happening one day (but that doesn't mean that I didnt inadvertently change an option of some sort) Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What version do you have? If it's a legal version, you can contact Adobe Support.

check what mode your image is in I've had troubles with some color modes (indexed color etc.) also try pressing enter a couple times, I know it is stupid, but It has helped me in the past.

Good Luck.
