i was pretty sure that that's an illustrator only feature since photoshop doesn't have that button in the toolbar.

What version of Photoshop? Photoshop 8 (a.k.a CS) has the Type-on-a-Path feature. And it has to be a PATH, not a selection. |

Type on a path in C.S. is slow as $hit. I hate using it, I'll still go to Illustrator to do it.

I don't have CS yet. I still run Photoshop 7.0.1 in Mac Classic environment so I have access to Extensis' old "Photographics" plugin, among others that will never be updated for Mac OS X. Or, If I need better control, I go to Illustrator. |
