Hello everyone.... I caught a movie on Satruday (dawn fo the dead, pretty good) and something was bugging me throughout the whole movie. Actually it was a preview (Troy) before the main movie that was the problem. I just wanted to grab CS and try to make that type effect. Here is the trailer, you'll notice the font fly by at the very end of the trailer. http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/troy/ I'm not trying to do a font flyby, nor am I trying to replicate the static effect on the webpage. I just attempting to recreate the font effect IN the flyby. I know how to make it beveled hard an gold but I cannot seem to get the edges like a sharpned axe or sword. Perhaps a texture or some style I'm not mixing? ;) Any advice is apprecated Thanks Fess |

All I can really think (apart from good font choice) is to use chisel hard as your bevel rather than the other options.

Hermit, The letters look very textured, maybe a brushed metal gold color. I'm learning maya but this is beyond my skill at the moment. Think I'll give the texture a try. Regards Fess |
