Give this a try: ================ 1) Create a new document (3px high by 3px wide) 2) Leave the all but the bottom-right pixel transparent, and make that pixel your desired dot color 3) Select --> Select All 4) Edit --> Define Pattern 5) Give your pattern a cute name 6) On the document where you want to apply the dots, make a selection of something 7) Select --> Modify border --> 1 (maybe 2 will work also) 8) Edit --> Fill 9) Select 'Pattern', and then choose your cutely named pattern Make new patterns to come up with different style outlines |

You could also do it by making a selection, and stroking that selection with a hard edged brush with wide spacing. In CS there is a style that will co this for you, just make the shape you want, fill it with white and select that style. try loading all the styles, you never know what you might find. |
