3d Tentacles Effect

Hey, peeps don't mean to spam, but I just recently completed a tutorial to create 3d tentacles, and thought that this would be the first place I share it.

In summarry of techniques used:

a. create trendy background (usually with filter/clouds)
b. set the smudge tool brush preset
c. create a path to the shape of a tentacle (a simple curve will do)
d. on a new layer, stroke the path with the smudge tool preset defined previously
e. adjust path to your hearts content, and repeat (d) till the tentacles touch the heavens
f. apply blending styles to create realism
