Alright friends... I'm back to trying to turn b/w images into bronze or white marble statues...classic Greek style...damn indecisive clients! ;~} Here is what I'm working with and the look I need: http://www.rwcom.com/help%20me.html I have tried multiple methods. Multiple, multiple, multiple methods! If anyone has any idea how to achieve this look, you would have instant diety status in my book! Thanks in advance Jason |

have you looked around for a 3rd party filter? I'd check out a trial of AutoFX's DreamSuite, or do a search on google for photoshop filters. I played with your photo for a minute, You can get close by using layer effects and the Smudge Stick, then boost your contrast way up using levels or curves. hope that helps! good luck |

yea, like graphicsguy mentioned at the end about the levels. the shine really comes from the level adjustment. from there i overlayed some textures etc. that looks so cool actually! can i do the job for you?! kinda kidding. kinda not though, id be willing to help. AIM = attunedesigns -Ethan |

yea, that is so cool, lol. it really didnt take too long either. yea i got a pic of a bronze statue (this one, from sxc.hu, great site: http://www.sxc.hu/browse.phtml?f=view&id=67339) hope that works...so anyway i took the photo and rotated it so the shiny leg area was over her leg, and clipped it to the mask i had made of her leg before. i wish i could do photo manip for a living, i really do. in fact, send me things to do, lol....because recently i have no web or graphics projects. -Ethan |

Try blowing out the highlichts with Levels, then Median, smudge stick, and a color overlay for the bronze. for Marble Try lightening the pic with levels (not blowing it out), then smart blur, a little Gaussian blur then save a copy ad a displacement map. then make a new layer, Render Clouds, render difference clouds, levels to lighten this texture to a light marble looking thing. Filter>Displace and select the displacement mask you just made then set the texture layer to overlay (or some other blend mode of your liking) and put a HSB Adjustment layer above set to colorise and select a color for your marble. I hope this made some sence. Good Luck! |
