Hi guy's , Have been having a problem with my selection tool . when I select and save selection in Alpha Channels the selection is all blacked out and cannot use selection . How do I get the Selection area to be white (Usable) instead of Black ? Is there a setting somewhere for this ? I tried to use invert but didn't help . |

I am not sure what you exactly mean, but it sounds as if you are masking out fine. If you want the mask to be inversed (the bit you didnt mask) then either press Ctrl+Shift+I or after saving it as an alpha channel then Ctrl+I

lol thats how it should look. A selection is always going to look like that in the channels palette, if you use quick mask or any selection technique in the channels tab the results will be a black and white mask. This is your selection. You can drag your black and white mask layer onto that dotted circle below and this will turn it back into the marching ants for you (a selection). You cannot edit in the channels palette, what I mean more correctly is that you cannot draw as on the canvas if thats what you are trying to do. You can use a black or white brush at differnt opacity levels (50% ceiling) to feather your mask at the edges. If you want the opposite of the what your mask is see my post above. (Ctrl+I) If this does not answer your question perhaps you could explain what you are trying to achieve or create. |

Try Ctrl+click on the alpha channel, that will load the selection, or go to Select>Load Selection and choose the alpha channel (does same thing)
