Hey, I'm new to Photoshop, and I was making a poster, and I wanted to make the font go from small to big and be very even + clean. (How to make it look like the 2nd poster) Here is what i did, (you can tell I used indivdual font size to do the change) My attempt Here is what I want it to look like, (Is much more Pro Looking) Good One You can see how the 2nd one's name fits much better and looks so much better. I'm using Photoshop Version 7 Thanks so much! |

Hi and welcome to the forum. I see that there is alot of new people joining now :D Okey rasterize the font = right click on the layer with the text and choose rasterize layer. Then go to Edit -> transform -> distort and then just make the left part smaller. If it's still not good try some of the other options in the transform but I think the distort should do the trick. |

Here is another question, How do I put a mask over a picture, to show that picture in one color shade, Say to turn a pic of the beach with alot of colors, to have it with only different shades of orange. |

2 simple ways are that you make a new layer, fill it one color and change the layer options. Or you take the image / photo and press Ctrl + U and press Colorize. |
Okey rasterize the font = right click on the layer with the text and choose rasterize layer.
NoNoNo!!! There's a MUCH better way. Don't rasterise the type until you absolutely have to. This is a good rule of thumb for virtually ANY project. Use the "Warp Text" function. • Style---»"Arch" • Bend---»"0%" • Horizontal Distortion...play with the value here to get what you want. • Then, bring up the Free transform to rotate it if you want to. This will allow you to play around with different variations, including changing the Character attributes, until you get what you want. |

This will allow you to experiment with different ideas without changing the original image data until you're ready to commit to it. Select the layer you want to colorize in the Layers Palette. At the bottom of the Layers Palette, click on the "Black/White diagonally-split-circle" icon (4th from the left). This will allow you to create a new fill or adjustment layer. Choose "Hue/Saturation" and when the dialogue comes up, check the "Colorise" box. Play with the sliders. |
