Flattened my image & saved it while in a brain-fade . . . . :( I thought I had read somewhere that it was possible to recover previous states from an image that had been saved & closed. I need my layers back! Can anyone help  Thanks in advance, TG |

As far as I know that is not possible as the history gets erased when you close the document. But I could be wrong.

No you are right, the history gets erased. I've done the same thing a number of times, really the only thing you can do is start from scratch. Or open the flattened image and cut the different pieces to different layers, but this is not fun and a lot more work. Sorry Dude, CryptoManiac |

For that very reason, every time I work on a project, I save a new dated PSD with the date as the filename. That way, I have a "save" of the latest work I did on it as well as numerous backups. This technique has saved me in the past.
