"To create a valid copyright, you must register with and pay a fee to digimarc corperation. They will enter your personal information into their database and issue you a unique creator ID, so your watermark will contain your personal contact and copyright information."


this is an excerpt from one of my photoshop books, I am pretty sure this is still correct.
