Help! New to Photoshop

Hello! I'm new to photoshop and this forum. I would appreciate any help possible. I have digital photos in my hard drive (C) in raw format and can not open them in photoshop 5.5 on a PC. Very irritating. I also have the photos on finepix software and they also will not open in photoshop. Would look forward to any quick help. Thank you very much and have a good day.

Welcome, sorry but raw format cant be open by photoshop5, you can in cs though. I think there may be a plugin for 5 but not sure. You can always open the file with your camara software and convert them to tiffs or any other format you like. I think TIFFS or the best though.
