Hello all... Long time listener, first time caller... This is driving me insane. I used to have PS 7 and it would freeze my PC whenever I used the eraser or clone tool. So I looked around online for tips and found none. Then I upgraded to CS in hopes that would solve the problem -- no luck. So now I am forced to turn to the forum pros. Is my page file to small? Is there some other setting I should tweak? I have been using PS since 1998 and thought I was getting pretty adept. But this is completely baffling and I have very little hair left to pull out. Please help. Here are my system specs. Photoshop CS Windows XP w/ Service Pack 1 and all known updates Pentium 4 2.40 Ghz S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR 736 MB of RAM My sincerest gratitude to anyone who can help. - Dave |

Hey, Pyeman...Sorry to hear you have problemos. Why don't you go to the resource section and check out Utopians thread "Photoshop wonky" or what it's called. That'll help ya, if it don't well, reinstallation is always an option. Not sure what that wankythread say's, but you oughta deletet the pref. file and start PS all over. This li'l thing helps most times when PS is going haywire ;) Patric. |

Thanks for the advice. I will give that a shot for sure. But here's the thing. I JUST installed CS this morning, and I am having the exact same problem I always had with PS 7. So I doubt anything's been corrupted or that reinstallation will help. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. - Dave |

I am still oceans away from solving this problem. Anyone have any idea what might be happening? I increased my scratch disk... cleared my preference file... increased my swap file etc. I am punching myself in the lap in frustration. Please help! |
