hi there, normally i do webdesign and other 72 dpi stuff, but i had to make a logo with straight lines but at about 87deg angle. so just off square at 300dpi. even at 300, i still couldn't get them really sharp and clean. i tried the pen and node mode, but even that seemed to have anti aliased the angle a bit. what do i have to do - perhaps 600 dpi and then reduce? jany tips that anyone can provide would be really greatful. thanks nudge |

First, always view at 100% onscreen to get a real idea of how smooth those angled lines are. Second, when using the Pen Tool, are you hiding the paths after you stroke or fill them? If not, you're going to see the vector paths displayed, and they will always look jaggedy—no matter what magnification— unless they're straight and perfectly horizontal or perfectly vertical. |

thanks, yes i "make selection" set at 0 pixel. but even still it looks a little "fury" here's what i mean. http://www.stutenmilch-naturkosmetik.com/RMZ/images/logofinal.gif the verticals are fine, but the angles still aren't good. |

Does you original PSD look OK at 100% It should...I have no problem making all sorts of smooth diagonals and curved lines. |

you said before you make a selection at 0 pixels. By making a selection i think it rasterizes it, and is no longer pure vector information. Are you selecting the path you make with the pen tool, and then filling that path? If so, try filling the vector shape itself.
