It's illegal to steal software. It's illegal to 'try' software unless it's a demo. It's illegal to promote warez on this forum. So please stop, or you're going to have a lot of angry people yelling at you.

I bought Windows 2000 on Monday, and got it installed last night. I got to work today, and mentioned it to someone, and this idiotic kid, right in front of the boss, goes:

"You moron, don't you know you can get that for free from IRC?"

I won't be surprised if he doesn't last long at that job. My boss is WAY against stealing software. But he just gritted his teeth and let it go. But he was WAY pissed. So was I. Just disturbs me that some people have such low moral standards nowadays.

Im lucky enough to work for an organization that will allow employees in the IT dept. to take software packages home to use and learn to support.

As for warez, if you can't read the rules of these forums, why are you here?

I am not looking for warez im looking for a demo download or someting so I can use flax frame just once to see if its the effect imlooksin for and if it is then ill buy it.

How do you think every bugger and their dog at the age of 14 running an art site own a copy of Photoshop 6 or 3DS MAX 4? I'm sure they own legit copies... not!

Still what do I care, I've come out of that battle ground a long time ago and no longer have to get software from the "underground" to create my artwork.

+ I'm not for warez either, it is damaging in 99% of cases, I'm sure. But it's kind of like expecting a starving person NOT to steal bread because they havn't got the money to buy it. Many people in this area are artists. Art is their life, without it they have nothing.

Oh and I'm not promoting Warez, that would be if I had said "go to www.some-WaReZ-site.com" (not a real site, just in case some idiot clicks it).

There. See, the rules of the forum say "no warez links". Therefore, they are banned. It doesn't matter how they came about photoshop. We wish that they had thier own copy, bought and paid for with thier's or mom's money, but the reality is, probably half of the people on this board didnt pay for it. And we don't really care, as long as they aren' advertising.

I know the link was fake. I know it was to make a point. You asked why it was wrong to talk about. as I said, I dont care how you or anyone else got photoshop or any of your other software. What will get you banned quickly is providing a means for someone to get software without paying for it.

Talking about it has no effect.
