are you trying to expand the actual area? Cause the expand/contract function only works on the selection size itself, not the area inside the "marching ants" border.

In fact, you need a workaround to contract the selection when you've just done a select all. You may use select>modify>borders, then invert selection [ctrl+i] and then adjust as needed, or try the workaround on this page: http://user.fundy.net/morris/photoshop9.shtml It should be fixed in the next version of PS. |

Shoot...I meant to post Trevor's workaround the other day, but I forgot that he was the one who came up with it and made that tutorial...plus, I didn't have it bookmarked. Someone just posted about this in the Adobe Photoshop Feature Request Forum, and I rushed over here with the link pasted into my clipboard. Good job, Sir sPECtre. |

You're welcome, Phoz! Yes, I see that "someone" posted a link to it over there ;) Hey, My "title" should not follow me here ;) The Photoshop Engineers stated that it is a bug... I thought that is was something unprogrammeable for an obscure reason, given the long time that this problem has been affecting photoshop... |
