Hey guys i need your expertice once again. stay with me since this is a hard one to explain. I was asked to do some ripcards/tickets for this launge in the city (nyc). No big deal, simple design and all they just tickets for the door to keep trak of sales. I did the layout and send it for aproval. This is were my problem comes in. My Friend/Client wants th tickets to be numbered. Now, I know there is a way to do this with in photoshop. How you ask? Well i have a friend that has a smal print shop here in queens (town in NYC) and i had him print some tickets for me before, and i saw him leave a space for the number in photoshop, when hi printed them, they all were numbered. Does anyone know what im talking about, i hope i made a little sense, and if so does anyone have an idea of how to do this if possible. Thank you in advance |

I was able to do a action were a number in inputted in my picture but i dont know hoe to get it so the number changes everytime is printed, im really stumped here. I dont know maybe im wrong and there is no way, i wish i could ask my friend but hes currently in dominican republic. Maybe when he comes back ill ask him and then post here again. Depending on your print supplier - all you have to do is leave an open space or block in your design. As the job gets printed, the printer attach a high-speed numbering machine to the end of the output line. It is just a punch-type sequential numberer. You will have to communicate with your printer about page-size and amount of step-ups of the tickets onto the sheet-size. This is by far the easiest way to do it (given your printer has this ability). |

Yeah - if you look at most lottery tickets or bingo cards or whatever, the number is clearly put on by a different machine. You can tell that its not part of the design, and must be put on by another machine I think.
