changing car paint |

how would i go about changing the colour of a car so that it looks good, ie white to silver, silver to yellow. i cant get it to look good with the brush. i have seen pics of this, but with playing around with photoshop i still have no clue how to do this. thanks in advance |

You'll need to select the car/or the paint. Then with the selection made....go to image>adjust and use whatever you need. You could also add an adjustment layer w/ masked selection (so you dont ruin the car) or go an easier route and make 2 layers above the car. First layer....fill the selection with black and set the layer to "color" (it destaturates it)....then on the second layer, fill the selection with the color you want to change the car too. Then just lower the opacity and tweak as needed. |

lots of help guys, but i have a few questions. whats the best way to make a black car white, or as light as possible. i have learned alot in the first couple of weeks of have pshop, but its going great with your help
