slicing an image into a website |

hey, i just made my website on photoshop. but i want to make it into a website. it is the whole layout. and i tried slicing it in image ready but im not sure what to do. i used the image mapping tool so the buttons will work as links. and aswell i seperated it into the 3 slices i want. its just that i dont know how to make it into html. it slices but then what happens..... HELP ME PLEASE |

>File>save optimized as it will save the html file and all the slices into the "root" directory you assign. it will make an "images" folder for the slices. thats about all the help you'll need I figure... |

This may sound wierd but where is the slicing feature? or is it a dif. program?

There is a "slicing tool" in photoshop..(read the often overlooked "help" files in Photoshop) But the way I do it and the way he was asking about doing it is : open your "layered" .PSD file in photoshop....then at the bottom of the main toolbar click the button that says: "Jump to ImageReady" when hovered over. This will take your layered .psd file to imageready. Now start with the slicing.... I made a rough tutorial a long time ago..... http://home.hiwaay.net/~cbutts/tut_stuff/slicing%20tut |

it looks kinda like the pen on the tool bar, just look for it and you will find it.

it sort of looks like an exacto knife. its in image ready. and it should have come with your photoshop man. thanks a lot everyone. but im probaly going to start with a new site layout (can be found on a different thread). not too many people like it. i was going for an original look. but what the hey...
