I need to make the red color on the cheek to spread out and look natural.

start playing with your airbrush tool. you could also create an irregularly shaped marquee, fill it then gaussian blur it to get a similar effect.

I would also look at the smudge tool or the feather command. Then play with your opacity and layer styles on that particular layer.
