How do I make a circel with only the outlines and not fill it.

create a circular/elliptical/whatever marquee then use stroke instead of fill, should do the trick. chris |

Another tedious way, but you get to see it a bit more visually, is to create a circle with a fill (use a colour that is different from the stroke you want). Now set a stroke layer effect, choose the width of the stroke and any other setting you want. Make a blank layer and combine it with the circle layer. Grab the Magic wand tool and select the circle, delete the fill and there you go.

...orrr, fill, then contract the selection by x pixels and hit DEL.
